In order: an ongoing booking, the payment summary before checkout, and a car park listing with ratings and an hourly price.

What is Pay N Park?

Pay N Park is a two-sided parking marketplace. On one side, drivers search for a space near where they are going, book it for a set time and pay in the app. On the other, owners of driveways, offices and hotel car parks advertise spaces that would otherwise sit empty, and manage the bookings they receive.

What problems did the app need to solve?

  • Fraud and fake listings. Stop false parking adverts and fraudulent users.
  • Finding the right space. Give drivers a parking search with detailed filters.
  • Verifying users. Confirm each user’s identity with ID checks and live facial detection.
  • Owner–driver communication. Let space owners and drivers manage each booking together.
  • Consistent performance. Make the app fast and easy to use across devices, on iOS and Android.

What did the team build?

Ten features, grouped by who uses them.

Pay N Park features by user
User Features
Drivers Quick registration; one login for several users; add vehicles; search, book and manage parking; secure in-app payment; flexible cancellation
Space owners Advertise a parking space; manage bookings; call the driver from the booking
Parking attendants Attendant access to check and validate bookings
Everyone Advanced ID verification with live facial detection

How does a booking work?

  1. 1

Find a space on the map. Spaces are marked as reservable or non-reservable, with an hourly price and ratings from other drivers.

  2. 2

Choose the time and vehicle. The driver sets “parking from” and “parking until”, and picks one of their saved vehicles.

  3. 3

Check the price and pay. The summary splits the parking fee, service fee and VAT, and the driver accepts the driver agreement and cancellation policy before paying.

  4. 4

Track the booking. An ongoing booking shows the reference number, the vehicle, a countdown of time left and a button to call the space owner.

Why Flutter?

The client needed the app on both iOS and Android and chose Flutter for it. Flutter is Google’s open-source UI framework, written in the Dart language. It builds both apps from one shared codebase, so features, fixes and design changes reach iPhone and Android users together.

What was the result?

Drivers and space owners got one iOS and Android app that covers the whole journey, from listing a space to booking, payment, verification and on-site checks. No usage figures or client review have been published for this project, so none are reported here.

How much does a parking app cost?

A marketplace like Pay N Park costs more than a single-sided app. It needs apps or views for drivers, owners and attendants, plus payments, identity checks and maps. Building in Flutter lowers the cost of launching on both iOS and Android. Most apps we build cost between £5,000 and £150,000. See what affects app development cost.
